I have a plus that is one of the 1mb factory upgrades from Apple. I can't remember if a 512 has 400 or 800k drives, but guess that doesn't matter if email can work. The system is old enough that when you look under the apple menu it just says something to the effect of Apple Macintosh System - I think it is 4.x or 5.x
