I appreciate everyone's help. I'm pretty sure I can write disks with
my Redhat 5.2 Linux box. I keep it just to read/write old media. Big
Antec tower with 2 floppy drives, internal zip drive, external (old)
cartridge tape. At least I can read single sided Mac-formatted
disks. Copied a bunch of data files to CD a few years back for my
brother-in-law. Anyway, he has an early Mac laptop and an external CD
reader, so I can always try that.

I doubt this thing was ever upgraded. My bro-in-law's not into tech -
this was just a word processor for a few years. He still has a mint
TRS 80, that was bought used as his son's toy to keep the boy off the
mac. My sis keeps everything and stored safely. When they retire,
they can probably live for a couple of years via ebay sales. I'd bet
if I look hard enough, I could find the original printer. If they do
start selling Mac stuff, I'll sure let ya'll know, since you've been
so helpful.

I won't get much done until at least the weekend. My wife +requested+
I finish the busted skylight repair by Sunday.
