Hi I just thought I would mention I finally found source of the program "pstotext" the other day...
I build it on osX and it successfully translated some old .ps and .pdf files. Some files better than others, some near perfect and next down a few wrong characters (such as crossed equal sign for some dashes). One file I was hoping for was maybe 20% trouble, it was funny to start with as text-to-speech in Reader didn't work ... ------------- I am not sure if this program might build a vintage runnable copy. I build it on osX, but I do have a 68k mac compiler, haven't used it much. Hope this might help someone struggling with old pagemaker files. Next I should go looking for pstohtml I guess, preserve some formatting and read in web browser (where text-to-speech works better anyhow). -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
