Guys,

I've got an AVID brand 9 GB drive hooked up to a Mac SE/30. When I boot a Disk Tools disk (with a patched Apple HD SC Setup 7.5.3) utility it recognizes the drive, tests it successfully and commences and initialization, but after about 10-20 minutes of performing the init, it fails and says the drive can't be initialized.

Is the drive too big to use with the SE/30? How do I init it?

I intend to eventually try to run A/UX (I have a CD ROM drive which the A/UX installer floppy recognizes and boots from but no cable to connect both the CD drive and HDD at the same time) so will try the HD setup utility that ships with that next, is that likely to work?
