Hi, Can you provide the model and brand of the hard drive ? Do you hear the engine of the platters spinning upon power on ? If there are any external SCSI devices: disconnect them first.

It came with a keyboard and mouse and a fully-functional classic Macintosh OS installation. I have been able to use this Mac for several months. However, today I tried to turn it on and got a floppy drive with a question mark displaying on the screen. It was unable to boot to the desktop. The light on the hard drive is flashing three blinks and a pause, which I believe indicates a hard disk failure. Is there anything I can do to rescue it? If not, can you offer any advice concerning hardware replacements? Thank you. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
