Sorry for the delay in responding. I am still using a Kensington Turbo
Mouse Trackball for Macintosh Model #64210 Version 5. This is just an
estimate, but this was heavily used from ~1998 to ~2003 used on
occasion from ~2003 until ~2007 and somewhat rarely since that time.
It is currently connected to a G3 AIO running OS 8, which is setup for
scanning using a very old PaperPort Vx serial scanner. While most new
devices are pretty slick in operation, it is almost impossible to beat
the overall build quality of the older Mac items. The Kensington
trackball and the Paperport scanner drop out of daily service because
they either no longer connect or have software that allows them to
work. In some cases one is very lucky and older items continue to
function very well. My old LaserWriter 8500, continues to be an
exceptional solid and inexpensive printer to operate even with the
latest and greatest new systems.
