It sounds like the classic cold solder joint problem. It'll be on the analog board. To fix it you need to remove the Hi voltage lead from the picture tube and all that entails. If you don't know, it's probably best not to do it. The bad joint(s) are likely around the flyback transformer and the connections to the yoke coils.
