Hi,

I'm afraid both of them are not suitable to replace the original 3.9uf BP HF
capacitor.
You really need both Bi-polar and Highfrequency since the capacitor is in
the video circuitry to the tube.

I'm using this one to replace the original capacitor: Digikey part
PF2395-ND, a Panasonic 3.9UF 250V Metal Polypro cap.

It's a bit of fiddling to get it in place but in absence of an identical
radial one, it's the best option with the advantage that they don't leak.
I think an identical radial one doesn't exist anymore and no the one's you
can find for Crossover networks in speakers can't be used either because
they aren't highfrequency.

Take Care,

Nico

Ok, so I emailed DigiKey and while they don't have the exact cap
replacement for C1, they emailed me back and suggested these could be
used:

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?vendor=0&keywords=P1198
-ND

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?vendor=0&keywords=P1199
-ND

If so, which might be the more reliable of the two?

Can I get someone to concur? :)
