Joe, That did it... I don't know why I never thought to upgrade the networking. Given what others have written, I am tempted to try connecting to a 10.4.11 server... Connecting from older OS versions is the main reason I am sitting on 10.3.9. It really is a pretty good version of OS X. Nothing like the REAL Mac OS, but what are you going to do.
