Hi everyone! Hope you had a great holiday season! For Christmas a relative got me an eMac G4 700mhz with 640mb of RAM. He got it off of Craigslist. The guy that had it before put a clean install of 10.1.5 on it. When it starts up it makes the power on sound, but then loads what looks like classic mode. It has the classic happy mac with the grey screen up for about 30 seconds, then boots into OS X. I wanted to upgrade it to Tiger, so I put in the CD for Tiger and restarted. I've tried holding the "C" key, and also pressing ALT+OPTION+SHIFT+DELETE too. Neither have made it boot to CD, but I can make the tray eject from inside OS X. I'm fairly new to macs, so I'm not sure if I'm missing any steps here or not.
I apologize if my macs not old enough to put in this group, Thanks, Jake -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
