Hmm, the 840AV has a 20mhz clock crystal to run 40mhz, so I'm guessing the clip is set to 22.5mhz to get it to the 45 I have it now. Unless I'm misunderstanding how the thing works, which is possible. The box/manual claims that 45mhz is the *minimum* an 840AV should do so I'd expect it to be able to go higher. My manual goes up to 53mhz, but then we already know it's the incorrect one.

I haven't done a recap yet, but the board is perfectly clean and it runs 100% stable. I've even used it to capture some (rather low res) video for some video projects. I still intend to do it, along with my IIci that is having some major issues. Just have to get that round tuit someday.

i have one too... just looked at the manual and looks like 84mhz is the best that can do.

witch would be 42mhz... so if you got it to do 45 mhz... and you run norton utilitys and its accurate and stable then keep it that way.

if you have not recapped your 840av... then you need to re-cap that asap...

i used mine to go from 33mhz in my q800 to 40,
seemd to get kind hot.. so i popped a 40mhz cpu in there and it was much better.
