Hi Lee - What about putting the hard drive from the LC into the LC475?
If that's not an option, is your second/other computer also a mac? What vintage & OS? Is the 8.1 disc an install or restore disk? The reason I ask about your other mac and the 8.1 CD type - I've had good luck in the past using the system folder from 8.6 and 9.0 restore CDs to "install" machines just by copying the System Folder. While zip may not have the space to hold the whole OS, it should hold large enough pieces to copy over without the same pain as floppies. Copying the System Folder from an Install disk may also get you just far enough to be able to use a CD drive as well, but not sure without knowing what CD-ROM drives you have. stickman On Wed, Feb 3, 2016 at 8:40 AM, Lee Kolb <[email protected]> wrote: > First, let me emphasize that I am not a hobbyist.
