The SCSI controller is directly soldered onto the motherboard, so unless there is a pin for pin hardware and software compatible replacement AND you are mighty handy with a soldering iron (or have access to reflow equipment) there is no upgrading it. I do believe, however, that the 630 uses an IDE hard drive… SCSI being used for the CD-ROM and external expansion.
