Not sure if it's the same issue, but I've seen something about washing the logic board in a dishwasher to fix a similar issue. Do a scout around Youtube. I was looking up quite a few classic Mac troubleshooting vids a few months ago when I got my SE. I didn't have this problem per se, but I did see some topics along those lines. Hope this helps.
