Check the AppleTalk control panel to make sure
that it is set to the port your Modem is plugged
into. Check the Chooser to make sure AppleTalk
is Active. If you aren't using Open Transport,
check the Network control panel. If you are
using Open Transport check the TCP/IP control
panel to be sure it is set to the port the modem
is on.
Yes, networking on Mac can be just as nutty and
"scatterbrained" as Windows is with settings scattered
hither and yon instead of having ALL network settings
in ONE spot. :P
