I have a question. Following up from my previous bleating about buying a
Mac II I have narrowed it down to either going for the complete 1990
collection, a Classic (later), an LC (already got) and a IIsi, or a
IIci to match my SE/30s. I have a question that may be pivotal to the
decision process. I have a 1.1GB WideSCSI 68-pin Seagate Hawk drive
that, with the adapter I bought for it (eBay seller cocked up and sold
me the wrong drive - long story - we sorted it out), does not fit in my
Quadra (which doesn't need it now anyway as I have a 40GB IDE drive in
it thanks to my funky ACARD adaptery thingy). I need to know what the
clearance between the side of the case and the side of the drive is in
both machines, the IIsi and the IIci. Basically the adapter sticks out
about 3/16" (4mm for metric folks) from the side fot the drive
immediately behind the drive unit. I basically need to know if there is
enough clearance in either machine to take the drive.
