The IIfx is a capable web machine if it is setup properly. I had 32MB of Ram in mine along with a Jackhammer card and fast 2gig SCSI drive and an 8*24GC video card. Running System 7.1 with some of the add in appearance enhancements (+ ThreadMngr/DragMngr etc...) it did quite well on the Internet using Netscape 2.02 and IE 2.01 IIRC . Performance with a 56K modem was acceptable and on par with a Pentium 266 machine running W95 that I had the great misfortune of having to use at work at the time. Running the IIfx with the addition of iCab and my ADSL connection it was a solid performer!
