7.5.3 was, IIRC, the last floppy version of the OS.  It may be they 
felt there really was no need for floppies since it won't fit on a 
single disk (except for an emergency disk) and since it's a download, 
it doesn't matter whether people have a CD-ROM or not (the reason 
7.5.3 was available on floppies).  If you are downloading it to your 
HD anyway it's easier to use the method they did than to make 
individual floppies or even to mount the individual disks as DiskCopy 
images.
