Since no one knew about my flakey HD (its still shut down) I thought I'd
pose a new question.

I finally got the second cable needed to hook up my 9 Gig HS external HD
but I cannot get it to show up on the SCSI Probe CP. Also, when I do hook
it up (the SCSI ID switches are set to "0" and "4" respectively, those are
2 of the unused IDs I have, the other being 2 which is where the flakey HD
goes) the HD under ID "6" disappears (only the odd numbered IDs show up).
So you know what goes where
0 Empty (ie it can be used)
1 Internal HD
2 Flakey APS HD (shut down)
3 Bernoulli
4 Empty (ie it can be used)
5 Bernoulli
6 External HD (terminates the external SCSI string)
7 Mac CPU

Ideas? Is there a specific place I should plug in the 9G HD (ie like the
Mac to the 9G HD the the rest onto it)?

It is no secret (nor should it come as any surprise) that humankind's
most noble impulses often surface during the most trying of times, that
human spirit rises to the challenge when faced with adversity, that human
strength is born from human failings...Is it any wonder, then, that the
SDF-1 crew became a tighter family after the fortress had been exiled than
it had before?
