IBM has been in RISC CPUs since the beginning of the concept. Look up the IBM/RT series of computers. The first RT CPU design was built with discrete components on a circuit board to get the design working, then it was "translated" into an IC chip. Just think of trying that with something like a G5 or P4 or Athlon 64-FX CPU. ;) It will be total Fandemonium!
