The 'contemporary vs. vintage' choice is one which is not made 'logically',
which i think is the point that's being made here... i've never had that
'heart-tug' from the later Airstreams.

A 'newer' Airstream will eventually be a classic, and after that, a
'vintage'... but there is something indefinable about the earlier Airstreams
that they lack, somehow.

Working on an older Airstream is a labor of love. Working on a new a/s is
just labor; i much prefer the former over the latter.
