Its not usually lamps, its usually corroded lamp bases and lamp sockets that keep RV lamps from lighting. I'm thinking of hunting up some of the grease Ford used in my trucks for lamp sockets to keep them clean after cleaning each with a good brush (power removed). I suspect that when you tightened the license plate lamp that you caused a ground that blew the fuse in your tow vehicle. Gerald J.
