Yes, there is some sort of dielectric grease just for this and for splices etc. My instructions from Tekonsha brake controller recommends "dielectric compound" (Tekonsha Towing Systems P/N 7200) to avoid corrosion in the connector terminals I can think of many places this would come in handy.
