The ISO flare tool works great- lots of US built
cars use them, too. As for the line, it's the same
size as US cars. I think they call it 4.5 mm,
which is the same as 3/16" (not absolute sure if
the numbers are right, but I do know they are the
same size, just measured with a different ruler).
I've worked on a GM car that had a single line
that had a US double-flare on one end, and and ISO
bubble flare on the other. Took me a while to
realize that, though.

I got both types of flaring kits on E-Bay very
reasonably priced (like about $10 each, if I
remember correctly). Don't know where to get bulk
brake line or fittings, though. What I've done
before is get a 'long' pre-fab line to cut down,
then if I need extra fittings, I buy a couple of
short ones to cut up. Most auto parts places have
the ISO prepared lines. Many also have
'connectors' which are just machined pieces about
an inch long with the female fitting on each end.
They are very, very handy- it's amazing how much
easier it is to put in a piece that has only 4-5
bends than one that has 8-10 bends, and then just
connect them together.

Of course, if you're over my way, you're welcome
to use my flaring tools!
