120 cam would work real good with 2276cc -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of courtney hook Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2009 12:36 PM To: Air-Cooled Volkswagen Discussion List Subject: Re: [vintagvw] Speaking of engines, anyone ever bought a Bernie Bergman motor?
Thanks for the replies guys, I wasn't planning on doing it, I was just curious about his build quality. There is a 2276 right now sitting on my workbench as we speak. It's been there for 5 yrs, as I lost interest in it at that point. Now I'm getting interested again, and once I finish clearancing the case, I'm going to put it together. I've trial fit it 3 times, and still need to clearance more. I've set the deck height etc, and chamber volume in the heads, so all is good. Beautiful heads done locally by a fellow called Daren Krewenchuk. I can't decide on the cam though. I've got a 110, 120, and 125 to chose from, and a set of 44 Webers which is all I need with these smaller valved heads.
