Hi, There's a button in the playback controls once you start playing a podcast. One button cycles through half speed, normal, 1.5 and 2x speeds. As far as show notes, I also agree that's something that needs to be added, since from what I can remember, you can view them in iTunes? Unless that app does show them we just don't know where?

On the comparison between downcast's and iCatcher's top speed, I did do a little testing a while back to see since to me they sounded pretty much the same.
