Hello. You will have no trouble with speech getting muffled or any other sounds 
getting muffled when the defender case is on the phone. You also don't need to 
take it out of anything in order to use it. The only thing you would ever have 
to do is remove it from the belt holster clip if you do have it inside that. 
Otherwise you just pick up your phone and use it like normal.
