Hello List,
I may have discovered the source of the problem. In settings under route, I had
route profile set to car. When I changed this to pedestrian with voice
announcements and then started navigation and tapped options, the turn by turn
directions option was not available. I came up with the same short list of
options someone else reported seeing.
So my conclusion at this point is for whatever reason, when the route profile
is set to car, you can get turn by turn directions after starting navigation.
If the route profile is set to pedestrian, there are no turn by turn directions.

gps coverage.
So, I launched mapquest and immediately I could not only begin navigation
but it has a nice "list" button right there to get a turn-by-turn list of the
route.

GPS – here you get GPS Status, Save Position or Sent Position
Map View, 3D – this only gives you the option to choose either 2D or 3D
If somebody knows if that turn by turn list is still available I’d love to
know where to find it.
