I used to notice such a lag in older bluetooth devices. I think older
bluetooth devices and protocols were a bit quick to turn off the
speakers to save energy. You then had a bit of a lag when VoiceOver
would start talking and the speakers would need to be powered up first.
Sighted users wouldn't have noticed this so much because with streaming
audio the speakers are never shutdown. I haven't noticed this with my
last few bluetooth speakers and headphones. I think with better
batteries and more energy efficient protocols, devices don't need to be
as aggressive in shutting down the speakers and managing power consumption.

Hi all,
I wanted to know if all of you guys that use a bt headset, whether it
maybe mono or stereo find that there is a slight lag when moving around
the screen. I also especially find that the lag is very obvious when
typing on the virtual keyboard. Is this something that we just have to
deal with? Does this happen with some or all headsets?
Best,
Juan
