Yes, I remember several years back I was on a USNEWS Group and several transcriptionists ere using Dragon and making a lot of lines doing it, most of them had hand problems, and I sort of had them after 39 years of transcription.
I remember at the time I wondered if what they were doing was ethical but I guess since they were being public about it if was okay. Anyway, Nuance when questioned did not say we could not do that eventually. I mostly use braille with my IPhone and have a display for computer and the IPhone so it's lovely. Of course, one can go simply go online, but when you are transcribing, I would imagine it would seem easier to be able to look up something quickly on your phone without googling something. I was just wondering if any medical transcriptionists were on the list, and are you using any IPhone apps or other types of references like this? I use Windows for my computer, but like i said, I thought this might help keep the computer less cluttered while transcribing. A lot of the compter reference materials seem to be hogs.
