All you have to do is double tap on that screen with the languages and it doesn't matter which language is displayed when you double tap.

Speaking of Languages, I had an odd experience this morning setting up a work account, apparently it thought I was French Canadian, again took a while to fix, but I was surprised, I don't do well with languages and never French but I was able to figure out how to correct the problem despite the fact that it was speaking French to me. When doing previous updates I've been able to flick over to the Download button and double-tap it, but I got the bong just as you did. I exited the screen, came back in and found the download button, which VoiceOver said was dimmed, but I persevered and was able to start the update, sort of by gosh and by golly, and eventually get it done. I think Apple Accessibility definitely needs to look into this, so I'm going to cc them on this message so they know it's not just me that's run into this issue.
