Hi Christopher,

I have never seen anything on here regarding home theatre receiver apps and
you maybe in a situation where you may have to find a good store where they
are willing to let you try. I of course don't know what "mid range" is for
you, I guess for some mid range may mean $500 to $800 and for others it may
mean $1,500 to $2,500. Unfortunately the follow-up model of my Sony
STR-DA5400ES which at the time was $2,000 here in Canada, had a Bluetooth
remote and an app as well, guess I should have waited a year. I would assume
that most of the apps for such devices are free apps, so you can always
download them and see what you can see and then just find a store where they
are willing to let you connect to a demo receiver. An alternative is to
decide on 2 or 3 possible receivers maybe from different manufacturers, find
the apps and request information/feedback regarding Voiceover directly. I
look forward to reading about your findings.

Regards,
Sieghard
