Hi Sieghard and all. Yes, It said battery percentage and the word charging. and with the time percentage kept going down. I changed the charger, I had one for iphon 4 and I connected it to an adaptor I had bought from apple to make iphone 5 c work with my docking station and things seemed to be normal. Since then, after many suggestions from the list about the charger may not be clean, I decided to do something very primitive. Just washed the charger on both ends with water; what could go wrong! And now that charger seems to be working fine too. What I have not tried is to keep charger plugged in much after the battery is completely charged. Last time the problem of charging downwards started after my phone was on ac power coupld hours after battery charging completely. Will get back to the list if any update or problem.
Thank you so much for all the suggestions.
