Mary, on the PC, the web site is usable with FireFox. As you stated, you do
have to do lots of mouse cursor routing and refreshing of the screen, but it
does work and allows you to at least setup your various accounts like Pnadora
and iHeart radio along with some other preferences. I totally agree with you.
Their attention to accessibility in both the web site and especially the app
leaves a lot to be desired.

Best regards,

Rick Alfaro

Subject: Re: Setting up an Amazon echo with an apple extreme router

Well, I hope bunch of Google searching finally turned up a thread on Amazon
help, which indicated that there are many people having this problem. The
easiest solution, which worked for me, was to find a reset button on the bottom
of the device. I never would have found it without some sided help. But once I
knew where it was, I was able to activate it with a paperclip. And then I got
my echo set up. I must say, however, that accessing the echo app on both the
phone and the iPad is quite frustrating. I think someone said that they thought
the iPad app was more accessible.in order to scroll, you must turn voiceover
off, then scroll with one finger, the way sighted folks do. The checkboxes you
used to customize the news briefing do not work with voiceover. Even on the
Mac, setting up the echo is not fun, because it requires lots of mouse routing
and the refresh of the app is not always evident. Amazon does not deserve good
grades for their excess ability of this experience, whether on and I device or
the Mac. Can't speak for the PC, because my PC is so old that it won't even
access the proper site.
Mary
