Assuming this is directed at me, how is pointing out that this list is for the discussion of iPhones and not PC's or Macs a biased opinion? I just think someone would get more information on a question if they post it to a list appropriate for that question. If that makes me biased then you're right, I guess I'm biased. 

Here's what it says on the Google Groups page for this list:

All iPhones since the 3GS have come with accessibility for the blind without special adaptation. In addition, the iPod Touch and the iPad have been equally accessible. This group is for the discussion of the IPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad as it relates to access in the Visually Impaired community.
I'll leave it up to each poster and the moderator to decide if talking about moving from a PC to a Mac is on topic for this list or not. BTW, Shaf is not the owner or the moderator of this list.

My point was, if you have a lot invested in a windows pc and jaws or
wineyes, is it worth chucking it for the mack.  It’s my understanding

with every upgrade, no charge for the updates, AppleScript for

    If you run Windows on your Mac, you can use open book. However,
    you cannot use it on the Mac OS, as there is no open book for the
    Mac.
