Hi Alan, When you are in the minimal keyboard you do not have to switch back to the spacebar keyboard in order to insert capital letters and numbers. There is a shift key in the lower left-hand side of the minimal keyboard which will allow you to use capital letters. If you touch the shift key and then do a flick right you will get numbers and symbols. I hope this helps!
