it works well on my for S running 8.4. however, you have to wait a few

Did you make sure you allow KNFB access to the camera? It should have
asked, but make sure by going to Settings and Privacy, then check which apps
are allowed to access the camera.

Carol,
Before you delete and redownload the app, make sure you check that you
didn’t accidently put it in batch mode in which case you would take a picture,
but the app wouldn’t recognize the image right away because it’s waiting for
you to take a bunch of images and then do all the processing later.
