Thanks for all input and now I am looking forward to getting the protector. I have tried the plastic in the past and never liked them so this sounds great. Marie

I am totally blind and was able to put them on myself, though I can promise you that this is not a feat for the feint of heart. I tactually lined them up with the Home button, and then worked from the bottom to the top of the phone to center the overlays from edge to edge. If I noticed that they were out of alignment, I was able to adjust them for a short time after originally placing them over the screen. However, I do realize that not every blind person can do this type of work.
