That has been my experience with both Overcast and downcast as well. The major advantage with Overcast is the faster speed is better quality. However, I like the feature set for downcast. I use downcast on my iPhone exclusively having had exposure to both apps I prefer Downcast. If I want to take my time and listen to a podcast at normal speed I use the no frills no thrills basic podcast feature in the apple TV which I dearly hope they improve with the next generation. The iPhone always gets my podcasts hours before the apple TV does. Another reason I prefer downcast.
