Don't mind that, but there would be a lot to do, so thanks for that one; I'll
avoid that route.
I really don't want to download all apps though, so what do I do?

One thing I can think of with respect to your new phone and just downloading
the apps you want from the store is that, if you have a lot of folders, you
won't have those if you use this method. You have to redo everything. How good
are you at that?

messed up with two different phones, one computer with iTunes and lots of apps
to sort?
When it comes to copying the music, using iTunes and my rather slow laptop,
will I be safe if I've got different names for each of my phones, but they'll
share the same account and music?
If anyone can offer some pointers to help me to do this without too many
hitches, I'd be most grateful.
