Double tap and hold is the correct gesture. I just tried this by sending an email to myself with my mobile number in it and when I double tap and hold, the following menu pops up, you can swipe right through the options or find them on the screen and drag your finger around to find the one you want: Call, this is followed by Voiceover reading out the phone number and the word button Facetime Audio button (let’s you start a Facetime Audio call, not sure if this option would show up if it’s a non-iPhone number) Send message button (this is what you would want to double tap on to start a text message to the number) Add to contacts button (allows you to create a new contact with the number already in the phone field) Copy button (this copies the number to the clipboard) Cancel button Regards, Sieghard From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Hicks Steven (CORNWALL IT SERVICES) Sent: Wednesday, September 16, 2015 7:40 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: IPhone 5s, IOS8.4 And Phone Number Hi friends, A colleague has sent me an email with a mobile number in it which I would like to be able to send a text to.
