Hi Mari, Each router's different and I just bought another brand a year ago but from memory, there is a small recessed button near the power jack that you can push (sometimes you need a paper clicp or stylus or similar) which when held for 10 seconds or so resets the router to defaults.
Then take your favorite browser and go to http://192.168.1.1 And browse through the router screens like any other web page, you can't miss the wireless setup. Channel selection is your choice and the "other devices" you mention should handle the switch after you reboot them. The choice of frequency is up to you and it depends on what's in your area.
