When you make the appointment, though you cannot set an alert when
doing it with Siri, if you make it in the Calendar you do have the
option of setting 2 different alerts before the event happens. For
instance, you could set an alert for 15 minutes before and an alert
for 30 minutes before the appointment time. When in the calendar on
the new appointment screen, if you swipe/flick to the right passed the
start and end times of the appointment, you will eventually come to
the alert options. Another idea would be to use the Today screen from
the Notification Center to see a list of the appointments you have for
a given day, or to see the appointment that is next on your calendar.
