Last year I switched from a 4S to a 6, for the first few days I had problems hitting the right places. I tend not to flick if I am familiar with the application, my fingers have learned where to go for what I need which is a time saver. When I first started on the 6 I had to relearn but now I am pretty good. I just don't feel that I need to flick through every item on the screen to get where I need to be. New apps yes, those I don't use often yes but for things I do daily, no way unless there is something new I need to flick to find out.
Typing was a bit slower for the first few days also, but when I switch to the iPad mini my late husband bought for me in 2013, I really have problems finding the right keys. I keep it in Portrait mode as landscape was just too odd for me to work with. The iPad is definitely more sensitive than either my phones have been.
