I thought the way the previous messages suggested, they are stuck with it
turned on. I wouldn't see why you couldn't turn it off though, unless that
disables it again for you as well.

The fix gives you the ability to select the audio description track as you
would normally, but it does add it for all the profiles. But like I said,
each person can choose whether or not they want to listen to the audio
described track or not.

I’ve seemly stumbled on a temporary fix for apple TV 4th generation
owners who want audio description on Netflix. It requires that you call
them and explain the situation, and ask them to enable it for your
account. I spent about 5 minutes on the phone with them and have it
running beautifully. All it took on my end was a sign out and sign back
in, and I was able to select the audio description track like normal.
