It didn't say, 'sales of iPhones per year'.

Just curious, but where did you hear this about iPhone sales exceed the GDP of Switzerland? I totally believe it exceeds the GDP of many third-world countries, but when I did a quick search, I found that in 2013 Switzerland's GDP was 685.4 Billion US Dollars. If you assume the average iPhone costs $685 which is a value I am just taking out of the air for calculation purposes, Apple would have to sell 1 billion iPones a year to have a sales volume equal to the GDP of Switzerland which happens to be a small but very wealthy country. Apple may sell 100 or 120 million iPhones a year, but that still a long way from a Billion. Of course that doesn't mean that I don't agree that Apple under Tim Cook is hugely successful and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Sieghard

Dear Wren,

thanks for this information. I have an iPhone 5 bought in 2012 and the device and support is still fantastic. Biographer Walter Isaacson described how Steve had incredible faith in Tim to lead Apple and take the company in new directions. since Steve died, Tim has been very generous and willing to do new things, never looking back as to what
Steve might have done. either last year or the year before, tim gave
all 5s users and above the iWork suite along with Garage Band and iPhoto. Tim has shown the world that although the initial price of the iPhone is greater than most other smart phones, the iPhone is a great long term value with the additional functionality, extended support, free software, unique services, and durability of the device. This philosophy has generated record sales and made Apple the biggest corporation in the world. Sales of the iPhone alone create more revenue than the gross domestic product of the nation of Switzerland.

Hi,

I don’t think that’s a good idea, since so many people, visually
impaired or not could and would abuse that, and use the accessibility
phone number just to skirt around having to pay for each technical
support incident. But hey, Apple expects their customers to be
honorable and call the correct numbers, especially if their support
question doesn’t particular pertain to accessibility.

Hi all, I am posting this information because I thought you had to

the Apple accessibility services number. This is not the case.
Support is free. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, made the decision about
a year ago. The Apple accessibility advise her that I talk to today gave me this information.
Please share it with everyone you know.

The Apple accessability number is: 1 (877) 204-3930 The Apple
accessibility website is apple.com/accessibility
