Paul, Yes, pressing the home key will make a superfluous blank page at the end of the home screen go away. Re your question regarding "If an app is on page 3 and you want it on 1 or 2, what is the best way to move your hand to accomplish this , If your app is on page 3 and you move your finger to the left most edge of page 3, you will hear VO say, "pause for page change," hold your finger there. VO will announce a change to page 2.If you continue to hold your finger there, the app will move to page 1 and VO will announce it. Be patient. When I first started moving apps I thought it was really difficult. Now I can move them at will without creating unwanted folders that I then need to clear out.

I think of hitting the home key as taking you out of edit or draft mode. I'm not sure if this helps at all or not. I'd think the easiest way to get something from the 3rd page to the first, would be to make a space on the dock, move it to the dock, flip to page one and then pluck it off the dock. I haven't worried too much about the order of applications yet, but I'd suggest using a folder. Move everything into a folder and then take them out one at a time in the order you want them on your page. Just a thought.
