Hello Verlyn, If you reside in the United States (which I think you do given that you brought up taking classes at the Verizon store), you may want to check out the classes offered by your local Braille Institute. This place may have a program called Connection Point or some other name which trains students on technology such as the iPhone. Contacting your local Apple store to see if someone there has knowledge of VoiceOver, asking questions on list or listening to podcasts on AppleVis are also good alternatives. Good luck on getting trained with the accessibility features on iPhone.
