Coming to this late due to being on vacation, but the other big thing is that with ChromeCast ,you are limited to what you can do with the service. However, with Apple TV, it looks like you have access to everything and everything therefore speaks with VoiceOver. I don't have either, though I have used Chromecast apps to cast things to my in-laws' TV. I have also observed that I don't have that many apps which can use Chromecast. My wife and I are highly considering getting an Apple TV later in the year when our money evens out. It seems well worth the cost.
