Thanks, Sieghard, that bit makes sense to me: iTunes Match music is simply streamed from Apple's servers, so it doesn't hog any space on the iPhone itself. So I'm still puzzled about why iCloud Photo Library can't do the same instead of hogging chunks of storage on the phone?
